Temple : The power house of FAITH

Quote of the blog:

With an eye made quiet by the power of harmony, and the deep power of joy, we see into the life of things ~ Wordsworth

What is a Temple?

A building devoted to the worship of a God or Gods.

Temple Quotes:

“Our thinking will automatically improve when we remember the words of Paul: ‘know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and the spirit of God dwelleth in you?”
― Thomas S. Monson

“No Temple made by mortal human hands can ever compare to the Temple made by the gods themselves. That building of wood and stone that houses us and that many believe conceals the great Secret Temple from prying eyes, somewhere in its heart of hearts, is but a decoy for the masses who need this simple concrete limited thing in their lives. The real Temple is the whole world, and there is nothing as divinely blessed as a blooming growing garden.”  – Vera Nazarian

Temple, Mosque, Church and Gurudwaras: Preached by various people from different religions, for one purpose: FAITH

Faith ~> Complete trust or confidence in someone or something.

Faith, in the almighty, in the power of the universe, the God.

Temple, a place of no discrimination, be it a king or a tramp, male or female, child or an adult. A place where everyone’s plea is heard and addressed.

A place where an individual automatically tunes into the feel-good vibe: A vibe of positivity and possibilities. Place of utter FAITH

People visit temples for a lot of reasons, as:

  • For a better health
  • For better financial condition
  • For a bright future, for their families, etc

But, what else is it worshiped for?

Why do people visit temples?

To evoke their Belief system

As in my previous blogs, I addressed that the subconscious mind works on a Belief System.

What do we believe in?

What is our self-image?

How well do you communicate with yourself?

Is it a positive talk or a negative one?

The subconscious mind is your genie, which works on the concept of belief, if you believe you are a champ, you’ll succeed; If you believe you are clumsy, so you will be.

Now, the relation between the two i.e. The subconscious mind and the Temple:~

When a person visits a sacred place, offer prayers, perform rituals, he develops a psychological belief, in a hope that his prayers will be heard and addressed and all the worry and burden would be washed off.

To be precise, Temples act as a catalyst, by triggering the belief system and if the belief system is activated ( in the right direction) then no prayer or dream will be left un-answered or unachieved.
